Ok, the typhoon wasn't that amazing. A little rain a little wind. Maybe I shouldn't be sad about that. :) The pain in my back has slowly been going away, I think mostly thanks to my kung fu teacher giving acupressure and massage twice. I'm practicing kung fu almost every evening, but the chinese is going a little less well. In my group we're four persons, and one of them, Sansan, has chinese parents and speaks chinese fluently. Unfortunately her skill sets the level of the teacher's chinese. Suffice to say that this is making it a wee bit hard. The lessons are easy enough to follow, but the teachers use chinese exclusively and when you ask about some simple new word you haven't heard before they include 10 new unknown words in their explanation. Weeeehooo. Fun. And as a bonus... when we're having tests we get 25 minutes. Before we had 50+ minutes to finish them. Is that making it easier? Gaaaah.
I explained my situation to the teacher and asked to be put in a different group if this was the level it was gonna be taught at.
Turns out the other two don't understand what the teacher says either. But they say anything and I sit there alone looking like an idiot when I want to ask the teacher about every other word she says. Oh well. I'm also trying to prepare everything for the resident visa I need to get. Complicated things. But, trouble are only there when you look at it. So I try not to.
Take it easy.
