Oki doki. Home and back again. I'm in Taiwan.

Actually today I've been here a week. I really suck at updating my blog, right?

What has happened lately then? Well I've been hanging out with Belle of course. We even went and visited her family this weekend, her parents (mostly her mother) still hasn't given up on persuading Belle to just "have me as a friend" but I still felt a whole lot more welcome this time.

It was funny how little things like helping Belle doing the dishes and stuff like that, made a positive impression.

Anyway, it was nice with Belle showing me around her home village and generally having a relaxed time.

It was INSANE to get home though. Belle had (not unusually) forgotten to book a return ticket in advance. That meant that with the holiday A LOT of people were going home. When we arrived at the bus stop by half past one, we were told that we might be able to get on the bus that would leave half past ten.

With those options, we instead went to the trainstation where we got tickets for another bus company.

At first it seemed promising, we got tickets and all. I got a little bit less optimistic when I realized that what we had was a ticket to the non-prebooked seats. It turned out every bus had about 2-3 of these. Now we were number 69 and 70 in line to get on the bus. After waiting two hours, the next person to get on the bus would be the person with number 30, up from 28 about one hour before that.

With buses leaving one every hour, I found the idea of waiting rather depressing, especially since I anticipated traffic jams and a total bus trip of 5-6 hours because of that...

I asked Belle if we could check with the trains after all (the plan was abandoned earlier because we wouldn't have been able to get seats). It turned out that it would work nicely if we went by way of Gaohsiung so that's what we did.

The ride went painless because we had a bag with clothes we used as a seat for the next 3 hours or so. This way we managed to avoid the traffic jams and more importantly, avoided having to wait for like eight hours to get on a ride home.

Hope you're all fine! See ya!
