Gee, haven't posted anything in ages but in case anyone wonders I am in Taichung right now, going back home to Sweden the 1st. Later.

Hong Kong was pretty nice. The sad state of Taiwan is that HK got a whole lot better air. All those bloody motorcycles and no pavement in sight... that's Taiwan for ya.

Anyway, it's pretty warm here. But nothing much is happening. Oh, I was at a wedding banquet two days ago too. So except for that.

Talk about the the blog being on a break.

My wrists are kinda not-so-nice after too long programming sessions on my laptop. (Please tell me someone why Belle has two desks occupied each which she only uses occasionally, while I'm sitting at a make-shift table?)

Anyway, it's off to Hong Kong Wednesday, and it's back to Sweden in June WITH Belle I hope.

Oki doki. Home and back again. I'm in Taiwan.

Actually today I've been here a week. I really suck at updating my blog, right?

What has happened lately then? Well I've been hanging out with Belle of course. We even went and visited her family this weekend, her parents (mostly her mother) still hasn't given up on persuading Belle to just "have me as a friend" but I still felt a whole lot more welcome this time.

It was funny how little things like helping Belle doing the dishes and stuff like that, made a positive impression.

Anyway, it was nice with Belle showing me around her home village and generally having a relaxed time.

It was INSANE to get home though. Belle had (not unusually) forgotten to book a return ticket in advance. That meant that with the holiday A LOT of people were going home. When we arrived at the bus stop by half past one, we were told that we might be able to get on the bus that would leave half past ten.

With those options, we instead went to the trainstation where we got tickets for another bus company.

At first it seemed promising, we got tickets and all. I got a little bit less optimistic when I realized that what we had was a ticket to the non-prebooked seats. It turned out every bus had about 2-3 of these. Now we were number 69 and 70 in line to get on the bus. After waiting two hours, the next person to get on the bus would be the person with number 30, up from 28 about one hour before that.

With buses leaving one every hour, I found the idea of waiting rather depressing, especially since I anticipated traffic jams and a total bus trip of 5-6 hours because of that...

I asked Belle if we could check with the trains after all (the plan was abandoned earlier because we wouldn't have been able to get seats). It turned out that it would work nicely if we went by way of Gaohsiung so that's what we did.

The ride went painless because we had a bag with clothes we used as a seat for the next 3 hours or so. This way we managed to avoid the traffic jams and more importantly, avoided having to wait for like eight hours to get on a ride home.

Hope you're all fine! See ya!

Soon time to go back to Sweden. It's really a weird feeling full of contradictory emotions. I'm looking forward to meeting friends but it hurts to leave people here behind.

Again one of these "I'm still alive" messages. Yeah, that's right - I'm still alive. I haven't died of SARS or anything.
And the 15th... I'm gonna go back to Sweden. It feels really weird.

No, I haven't died of SARS yet. My birthday (yeah, I'm 30 now) has come and passed. I survived that too.
I'm playing a little with my computer at the moment, burning the CDs I have to AAC format instead of mp3 actually getting more free HD space for a change! Yay!

On other news, I've started to get up in time (i.e. 7-8 a.m.) every day of the week. Kinda nice to get up and go for a walk with my girlfriend in the morning.

I finished learning the twin broadsword-form a few days ago and practice is progressing nicely in general as well.

Take care.
